Nia Lancelin-Brantly is a native of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She started her dance training at 2 years old and remained at the same studio for 16 years. Upon graduating high school she was hired by the National Dance Alliance where she taught thousands of dancers in over 25 states for the next 4 years. In 2009 She received her BA in Theatre & Dance from the prestigious Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. While in Atlanta she founded Let’s Dance where she held summer workshops in her hometown for 7 years, held contracts with over 20 schools, and even had a partnership with the YMCA. Nia’s time in New York was spent working with awesome organizations like Brooklyn Ballet, Rosie’s Theatre Kids, Riverdale Children’s Theatre, Mark Morris Dance Center, & Joffrey Ballet. Nia loves being the person to introduce new ideas to young students and potentially ignite a lifelong passion in the arts!
